We can feel it in the air, spring comes with beautiful weather, and..... well, pollen! For some people, it's a wonderful time to be outside and enjoy the sun, for some people it's time to do some appropriate steps to help reduce the risk of aggravating your allergies. 1. Clean High to LowWhen you stir up dust while cleaning, make sure you’re not just moving it from one place to another. Start your spring cleaning with the highest spots and work your way down. This way, when you dust the top shelves or sweep cobwebs from ceiling corners, you can continue to catch dust as it settles on lower shelves or the floor. Save the floors for last. 2. Use An Air PurifierIt doesn't have to be a fancy one, as long as the air purifier of your choice has a good quality HEPA filter, you're good to go. Don't forget to wash your HEPA filter with warm water and allow it to dry if your model specifically states that water cleaning is safe. You can also soak your filter in hot water if it is extremely dirty. Clean non-washable, permanent HEPA filters using a vacuum to remove dust and debris.
